Trip to Tea factory

my polish friend and i went to tea factory on August 20th, 2015. it’s the second time I have been there. the first time with my classmates in senior high school. we drive my scooter to go there, it took around 30 minutes from my village to tea factory. we arrived around 11.30 am, we asked security to request permission, but security said, it’s time to break, so we have to back 2 pm. then, we decided to look around before 2 pm. we were enjoying nature, view of Mount Kerinci (yhe highest volcano in Indonesia) and tea plantation which is located at the foot of Mount Kerinci. we took pictures and enjoyed the view !
after about 2 hours look around, we decided back to tea factory. we have to request permission and we got it to enter factory. but, we need to pay IDR 50.000, it’s okay for us! a guide come along with us to explain about this factory. my friend so excited want to see Tea factory.
tea factory is located in Bedeng VIII village, Kayu aro. this factory just production black tea. it’s the second largest tea plantation in the world after Darjeeling at the foot of mount Himalaya. it’s about 3.000 hactares area. the large tea plantation was established in 1925 by the Dutch Colonial government, and supply the Kayu aro tea factory nearby, managed by PT Perkebunan Nusantara VI Persero. Kayu aro black tea is a high quality tea in considered one of the best tea in the world and the best Indonesian tea. Kayu aro tea plantation is grown in the highlands of the slopes of Mt Kerinci reach 3.020 hectares. it’s one of the widest expanse of tea plantation in the world. this garden one of the old tea plantation in Indonesia which was built in the Dutch era. to see tea processing in factory kayu aro, we need special permission from the company archipelago. Black tea Kayu aro most exported to Europe, Russia, Middle east, Us, Central asia and Shoutseast asia ( various countries)
in the factory, freshly packed leaves will go trough the process of withering in the bath-up, a hot air flowing beneath it. after wilting, the lorry hanging, the leaves were transported to the mill, then milled by machine. the next process was fermentation. results mill aerated cold temperature in the room. last dried, the term entered into the frying pan. with machines, tea powder will be separated based on quality. the final stage of this process was to test tea in the testing room, which is done every day.
we have already to seen the process of making black tea, we’re satisfiaed !! and you know what ? we got 2 black tea package number one  from the factory, which is just exported to Europe. lucky we are !! hahha

Short Trip to Telun Berasap Waterfall

Telun Berasap waterfall ( air tejun telun berasap) is part of Kerinci Seblat National Park. it’s located in Letter w village, Kayu aro, Kerinci, Jambi Probince, indonesia.
hang out with my lil cousin and my australian friend, enjoyed tea plantation and waterfall. we went to waterfall by motorbike from my village (it’s called lubuk nagodang village) to Kayu aro. it’s around 45 minutes arrived in Kersik Tuo. we are stop for a while around tea plantation, took pictured and enjoyed view around there.
after took some pictures in tea plantation, we’re continue to Telun berasap waterfall (it’s around 20 minutes by motorbike from kersik tuo I guess). we arrived in the waterfall, we had to pay IDR 20.000 just for parking two motorbike. This waterfall near from highway,we didn’t need trekking, we just down the stairs to reach the waterfall.the watefall was 50m. after enjoyed the waterfall, rain forest and we had get some lunch there. we decided to back home.
